Team Leader for Banking Partners and Foreign Cheques

You will have the direct responsibility of supervising a team of 11 professionals in Payments operations area (Banking Partners and Foreign Cheques Team). You will be in charge of directing the team’s daily activities. Along with being accountable for the quality, delivery, and other performance goals, you will also be held equally accountable for the continued growth and high levels of work satisfaction of your team.

The Banking Partners and Foreign Cheques team works with LORO banks and handles charges for payments. Open/close LORO accounts and investigates enquiries from LORO banks. Team is also responsible for foreign cheques process which includes printing and cashing cheques.We expect you to lead an effective team while also encouraging your team members to be accountable and create value in partnership with the internal customers.

While being responsible for business targets, you would also have an equally important responsibility for ensuring the team’s high job satisfaction and continuous development.

Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office).

This role does not include a relocation allowance for candidates who are not based in Lithuania.

You will:

  • Motivate, develop and coach the team to ensure a culture of effective employee engagement, continuous improvement and high customer focus
  • Coordinate and distribute team workload
  • Ensure professional and effective processing of administrative/back-office tasks
  • Support team to understand, optimize and improve processes with a focus on efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with the Group`s business procedures and market regulations
  • Focus on risk management
  • Work according to LEAN principles and deliver on continuous improvement initiatives

About you:

  • 2+ years of (banking or finance-related sector or operations)
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience
  • Time planning, work organizational skills
  • Decisive decision-making, ability to handle changing circumstances
  • Customer-centric approach and motivation to deliver high-quality service
  • Ability to motivate employees and ensure high engagement
  • Knowledge in payments/accounting or operations management
  • Advanced English skills, both written and spoken

Monthly salary range from 2520 EUR to 3780 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
