Senior Risk Specialist to Third Party Risk Management (Maternity cover)

Are you eager to contribute to Third Party Risk Management in a leading Nordic financial institution? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Join our global specialized team dedicated to implementing the bank’s Third-Party Risk Management Programme. This initiative empowers our organization to identify, assess, mitigate, and manage risks associated with suppliers, outsourcers, and partners.

As a Specialist in Third Party Risk Management, you will act as an expert on risks associated with third-party arrangements, including third-party risk, operational risk, and supply chain risk throughout all phases of the TPRM lifecycle—from due diligence and onboarding to lifecycle management and termination.

You will serve as the TPRM process gatekeeper, ensuring that third-party arrangements are handled and assessed according to internal requirements and processes. This role involves providing expert advice to line managers, contract owners, and subject-matter specialists, balancing business needs against costs, requirements, and risks.

This role is crucial for implementing and maintaining Danske Bank’s TPRM Programme in alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.

  • Analyze complex risk scenarios effectively, devise pragmatic solutions, and communicate results in a comprehensible manner
  • Foster strong relationships with business and management teams, providing expert advice on third-party risk management issues
  • Champion TPRM best practices to enhance risk awareness among colleagues and stakeholders

About you:

  • Solid expertise and experience in third party risk management, vendor management, and operational risk management within the financial industry
  • Professional skills, individual drive, curiosity, and a pragmatic approach to complex problem-solving
  • Ability to foster collaboration, working seamlessly within and across teams
  • Education degree in business, risk management, information technology, or related field
  • Can have a background in procurement, legal, or audit/control assurance with an interest in expanding into third party risk management

  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity, data privacy, and information security concepts
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and assess risks
