Senior Risk Analyst in Risk and Compliance Tribe

The Risk and Compliance Tribe is looking to expand and is looking for a (Senior) Risk Analyst. The Tribe brings together business and IT professionals into cross-functional teams which enables us to work in a truly Agile organization. Each team is self-organized and empowers members to make decisions and take action to deliver on products and services for our stakeholders.

Currently we are looking for a (Senior) Risk Analyst to support our Impairments & Stress Test Analytics squad on their mission to ‘Keep the Bank safe through a strong and solid impairment process and risk reporting’.

Additionally, you will be part of the Risk Analyst Chapter. As part of our chapter, you will contribute to a culture of collaboration, learning, and shared goals.

This position will be based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority for the role.

You will:

As a member of our team, you will be involved in optimizing and maintaining statistical models, conducting analyses, transitioning systems to AWS, assisting with audits and validations, enhancing data controls, and potentially contributing to external reporting and regulatory tasks.

Overall, in this role you will be exposed to activities related to:

  • Model optimization and maintenance, including what-if analyses. You will handle complex modelling tasks related to IFRS9 and stress test models, developing a deep understanding to ensure accurate and effective modelling activities
  • Improving data controls and engaging in external reporting and regulatory deliveries, as well as audit and validation requests
  • Performing various investigative tasks to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Transitioning existing models from on-prem infrastructure (Hadoop) to AWS

You will also get the opportunity to collaborate with a wide set of stakeholders in the Bank.

About you:

We are looking for a person who is keen on data, as well as risk and models. We imagine that you have 2+ years of experience as data analyst, preferably within the financial sector.

Furthermore, you:

  • Are skilled in SQL coding and have hands-on experience in Python/PySpark
  • Can communicate complex matters in a simple and understandable way in English, tailored for specific user audiences
  • Are skilled in handling data and apply it when solving business problems or translating regulation into meaningful analyses. Experience with data and model governance is an advantage
  • Are self-driven and have an analytical mindset with strong professional integrity and find pleasure in creating better solutions through collaboration, feedback, or challenge
  • Have an academic background in mathematics, statistics, econometrics or similar
  • Advanced skills in English

Knowledge and experience in financial reporting and complex modelling would be considered an advantage.

Monthly salary range from 3600 EUR to 5400 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
