Senior QA IT Platform Engineer

Our QA Engineering Tooling Squad provides advanced test tooling solutions to streamline test management, development and execution. By leveraging tools such as Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium and BrowserStack, along with K6 for performance testing, the team ensures that Danske Bank developers maintain efficient, consistent and automated software validation for web and mobile platforms. Additionally, the QA Engineering Tooling Squad offers consultation on automation strategies, CI/CD integration and quality engineering best practices.

As a Senior QA IT Platform Engineer, you will focus on key initiatives such as driving test automation adoption across Danske Bank software development squads, creating scalable guidelines and tooling artefacts to enhance test automation practices, and integrating with internal systems and test case management tooling. Furthermore, you will contribute to developing AI-driven solutions in test automation, aligning QA tools with the QA framework and leveraging automated testing to streamline each pipeline within the development platform. QA IT Platform Engineers focus on building blueprints and QA platforms.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the team to serve as a key platform engineer for Quality Assurance as a Service, ensuring alignment with tribe goals
  • Work closely with engineers, product owners and stakeholders across various departments within the organisation
  • Oversee the continuous improvement and development of features for Quality Assurance as a Service
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes and procedures related to the platforms to enable effective knowledge sharing
  • Support platform users to enhance their understanding and usage of QA engineering tools
  • Contribute to architecture development within the squad

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in platform engineering or a similar role, focusing on Quality Assurance as a Service
  • Proficiency in full-stack development (Java or TypeScript) and familiarity with GitHub environments
  • Experience with Docker, virtual machines and system integration, including CI/CD pipelines and YAML
  • Expertise in test automation (API, performance, UI) using tools like Playwright and k6
  • Strong understanding of IT service management, agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including service managers, analysts and product owners
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities and a willingness to share knowledge
  • Upper-Intermediate English skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4160 EUR to 6240 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
