We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Observability Backend team, which owns stateful services within the Service Reliability and Observability area.

In the Service Reliability and Observability (SRO) department, we develop and deliver modern observability services and standardized practices to ensure IT systems are efficient and reliable—saving time for both infrastructure and software engineers.

Our team manages Elasticsearch, Thanos, Kafka, and Tempo, which are used in centralized observability services to store logs, metrics, and traces.

This position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania (please note: relocation package is not included).

You will:

Design and implement new solutions, as well as improve existing ones
Diagnose problems in complex, multi-service environmentsengineers on high-complexity deliveries within your area of expertise
For team-owned services, participate in—or for services you will own, take responsibility for—the following:
- defining and improving the monitoring and alerting rules
- planning and implementing Cloud migration
- designing and executing stress-testing
Be meeting the Service Level Objectives duty for team owned services

About you:

Must:

5+ years of experience working as Infrastructure or Platform engineer
Experience with server-side technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift, etc;
3+ years of experience of owning (being responsible for, managing and improving) at least 3 of the following:
- Logs keeping solution – preferably Elasticsearch
- Queueing solution – preferably Kafka
- Time series db – preferably Prometheus (Thanos)
- Tracing solution backend – preferably Tempo
- Logs ETL – preferably Vector
- Metrics visualization solution – preferably Grafana
At least 3 years of experience in owning Cloud deployments – preferably AWS

Expected:

Strong sense of ownership and can-do approach, including:
- Experience suggesting, owning, and executing service improvement projects
- Defining quality standards for the service
- Defining the means to monitor service compliance with quality standards

Would be an advantage:

Experience in creating microservices (using Java and/or Python)
Experience in managing Infrastructure as a Code

Monthly salary range from 4560 EUR to 6840 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
