Senior Market Specialist in Asset Services

Danske Bank Hybrid LT Vilnius

Are you ready to bring clarity to complexity in the world of voluntary corporate actions? Do you see SWIFT messages and ISO standards not as bureaucracy, but as the language of precision in modern finance? If you’re the type who spots a corporate action risk before it becomes an issue — we want to talk to you.

We’re a professional team focused on managing the full lifecycle of corporate actions for our client base. Our specialists ensure timely and accurate processing of complex events — particularly voluntary corporate actions — while coordinating across custodians, clearinghouses, clients, and market infrastructure.

With 12 team members currently located in Lithuania, we combine strong market expertise, operational excellence, and regulatory awareness to deliver high-quality service in a dynamic environment. Our culture values precision, initiative, and humour — even in the face of T+1 chaos.

As a Senior Corporate Actions Specialist, your core focus will be on voluntary corporate action events. You’ll be responsible for ensuring timely notification, decision capture, instruction processing, and settlement — always with risk awareness and client impact in mind.

"We believe that the most valuable asset is human potential."

You will:

  • Monitor and process voluntary corporate actions (e.g., tender offers, rights issues, conversions, exchange offers, etc.)
  • Interpret and validate corporate action notifications from custodians, agents, SWIFT messages, and market data sources
  • Manage and send timely notifications to clients with accurate, actionable details
  • Gather client elections and submitting instructions to custodians or counterparties
  • Follow up on settlement of instructed positions and resolve discrepancies or fails
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., portfolio managers, compliance, risk, IT) and external parties (custodians, prime brokers, agents)
  • Support audits and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure alignment with ISO standards and SWIFT messaging formats
  • Participate in process improvements and contribute to automation and digitization initiatives

About you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in corporate actions operations, with a strong emphasis on voluntary events
  • Have a thorough understanding of the end-to-end investment chain — from trade execution to settlement and custody
  • Have a familiarity with SWIFT message formats and corporate action standards (MT564/565/566, etc.)
  • Have a knowledge of ISO 15022 and/or ISO 20022 messaging protocols
  • Solid grasp of financial instruments: equities, fixed income, ETFs
  • Possess strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and risk mitigation
  • Have a proven track record of problem-solving under pressure, especially in high-volume or deadline-driven environments
  • Are comfortable with cross-functional communication and working in a multi-cultural, distributed team
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills
