As a data engineer, you will design and implement data solutions that drive business value, while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about data engineering.

Our primary focus is on building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines using technologies like SQL, Python, Databricks, and dbt (Data Build Tool).

You will join the Global Insights department, part of Group Data and Analytics. Our team of experienced IT professionals, including business intelligence analysts and data engineers, values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of emerging technologies to solve complex data challenges.

The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).

This role does not include a relocation allowance.

You will:

Design and maintain: build scalable, high-performance data pipelines and solutions using Databricks, Python, dbt, and SQL
Optimize: tune data workflows and architectures for automation, reliability, and efficiency
Safeguard: ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards
Drive innovation: by exploring new technologies and tools to enhance data infrastructure
Be a mentor: support team members through knowledge sharing and code reviews

About you:

Experience: 4+ years designing and implementing enterprise-grade data solutions, in regulated environments such as financial services would be beneficial
Technical expertise: advanced expertise in Python, SQL, and Databricks for scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and API integrations
Modern data stack: practical experience with dbt and cloud platforms such as AWS, combined with knowledge of robust data architecture and performance optimization
Leadership skills: ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and implement technical best practices across teams
DevOps & compliance: experience with version control, CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub), and ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance standards
Communication: strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills, with upper-intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal)

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4560 EUR to 6840 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
