Senior Compliance Officer in Compliance Policy Management

The aim of the team is to create and maintain effective policy documents that are valued and actively utilised by all our stakeholders across the organisation.

In this role, you will support the policy work within Group Compliance and take responsibility for supporting Group Compliance SMEs in the creation and implementation of a range of policy documents, ensuring that the documents comply with internal standards and best practices and are aligned with other policy documents in Group Compliance. This entails working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders across all lines of business to achieve our common goal of making Danske Bank the best it can be.

As a Senior Compliance Officer in the Policy Management Team, you will be guiding our stakeholders on the policy management process to ensure that complex regulatory requirements and standards are translated into practical guidance for our business to create value through greater simplification.

Furthermore, you will be involved, typically in a project management role, on larger BAU projects or development projects. This could be in relation to the development of the function or gathering and overseeing input for various reports.

Depending on your experience, you may be offered a different seniority of the role.

You will:

  • Manage projects and support the continuous development of Group Compliance policy documents
  • Develop sustainable stakeholder relationships inside and outside of Group Compliance
  • Identify and promote opportunities to improve the policy development and implementation processes, including IT-related improvements
  • Drive and contribute to projects within and outside the team to strengthen the policy framework and related processes
  • Act as a representative of the Compliance Policy Management Team as required (e.g., at governance forums, in project steering/working groups)

About you:

  • You have 3+ years of experience, e.g., compliance or internal audit in the financial sector, a consulting business, or a law firm, where you have gained good competencies in developing and reviewing policy documents as well as project management and stakeholder management
  • You have solid IT skills, which will enable you to assist the team in identifying and building solutions to improve our processes and stakeholder experience
  • You understand the regulatory risk environment and have knowledge of financial regulations, policy frameworks, risk, or legal issues
  • You hold a higher relevant educational degree, for example, within law
  • You have extensive communication skills and an advanced level of English
  • You are comfortable interacting with people at all seniority levels and understand how to tailor your communication to different audiences and situations
  • You are detail-oriented (knowing where to put the comma in the text), but you are also seeing the big picture and maintaining overview
  • You take the initiative in problem solving, suggest solutions, and have the ability to deliver quality work while meeting deadlines

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3360 EUR to 5040 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
