Product Owner for Data Protection

We are setting the direction for Danske Bank’s data landscape! Embark on a transformative journey with us as we redefine our organization’s approach to data and play an important role in the bank’s Forward ’28 strategy.

Our team is the Data & Analytics function for Danske Bank working with each of the businesses to enable adoption of data and utilize analytics and data science to enhance our products and services to our clients. Data & Analytics is one of the central enablers identified as a priority by Danske Bank’s Executive Leadership Team with significant mandate and support.

We are expanding our team and searching for driven and motivated individuals to join our ranks. The Data Protection Programme is split into different Pillars, covering different parts of GDPR regulation. As a Product Owner, you will have a key role in leading one of the Pillars focused on building and maintaining the solutions that will enhance our data protection processes in order to build a sustainable and compliant data driven organization.

The teams are currently located in both Denmark and Lithuania and you would be reporting to our Data Protection Programme Manager.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you different seniority of the role.

You will:

In order to help us succeed on this exciting and complex journey we are looking for someone who will be able to:

  • Provide guidance and direction on the strategy and work package execution for a team of Business Analysts/Functional Specialist and SMEs
  • Ramp up quickly, build knowledge of data protection compliance risks present in business functions
  • Seek to understand our core process/technology/resource issues and its symptoms
  • Effectively identify and manage arising risks and issues to ensure successful project delivery associate with data protection compliance
  • Coordinate and drive efforts to enable data protection compliance in areas where we identified or suspect to have gaps
  • Continuously promote awareness and understanding on identified gaps and efforts on data protection across the Danske Bank Group
  • Ensure continuous awareness and understanding of the Data Protection agenda and the role of Data Protection Programme across the Danske Bank Group
  • Develop compliant solutions involving data mapping and classification, policy and procedure development, data subject rights management, data breach management, security and other GDPR related themes
  • Work with external stakeholders to ensure that the solutions are embedded within the organisation
  • Coach colleagues to deliver excellence and share best practices to ensure efficiency in a team

About you:

  • Have experience of delivering regulatory programmes and be enthusiastic about technology transformation in general
  • Have extended experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Have leadership experience and capability to build and lead a high-performing team
  • Have a curious mind and eager to learn new areas of expertise
  • Have experience in IT product and process development and have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Have relevant university education such as business management, engineering, project management, or similar
  • Have advanced English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3920 EUR to 5880 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
