Product Owner – Channels Cluster, Danica

Danica Pension, Channels Cluster, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Product Owner to head one of our squads within Channels Cluster. Located in Denmark, India, Malaysia, and Lithuania, our diverse teams are part of a larger IT and business development unit dedicated to revolutionizing the self-service implementations of Danica using cutting-edge technologies. Our goal is to enhance the pension service experience, making it seamless and straightforward for our customers through innovative digital solutions and state-of-the-art workflow automation.

As the Product Owner in Channels Cluster, you will play an integral role in leading your team to design and deliver customer-centric mobile and/or web solutions that align with the business vision and strategy. You will act as the key liaison between stakeholders and your squad, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and successful delivery of innovative digital experiences. Additionally, this role will require strong business analysis skills to communicate effectively, identify needs, and translate them into actionable deliverables. You will have HR responsibilities along with a role of the functional leader of the team.

You will:

  • Define and uphold the mission and vision of the squad, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritise optimal customer solutions
  • Develop, manage, and prioritise the product backlog, transforming business priorities and initiatives into actionable epics, user stories, and tasks
  • Own the squad’s IT systems, services, and product portfolio, ensuring compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate risk assessments and ensure the squad’s solutions meet all internal compliance standards
  • Collaborate with the Initiative Lead to break down bigger initiatives into epics and maintain a clear scope for delivery
  • Act as the primary link between executive sponsors, stakeholders, and the squad, communicating clear expectations, managing priorities, and ensuring alignment
  • Champion agile ways of working, protecting the squad’s time and focus to meet delivery commitments and fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Take responsibility for accepting or rejecting deliverables, ensuring they meet defined acceptance criteria and business needs
  • Attend planning meetings to help define sprint goals, provide input on backlog prioritisation, and track progress on epics through reporting dashboards
  • Promote engagement and motivation within the squad, supporting team members through coaching, objective setting, and performance evaluations

About you:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional who can confidently take on the dual role of Product Owner and Business Analyst. As the ideal candidate, you have a proven track record of working in agile product development environments and can seamlessly bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. Your analytical mindset will support the team in gathering, documenting, and translating complex business requirements into effective solutions. Strong communication skills in English are essential.

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst
  • Extensive experience working within agile product development teams and familiarity with agile frameworks
  • Strong ability to liaise effectively between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written, enabling clear and concise communication
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect, document, and refine business and technical requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product backlogs, define epics and user stories, and ensure solutions meet both business and customer needs
  • Proven stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage expectations and navigate priorities
  • Experience in working with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, or similar collaboration platforms
  • A user-first mindset, with a strong focus on delivering innovative and impactful customer solutions

Monthly salary range from 5200 EUR to 7800 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
