Our mission in the Finance tribe is to efficiently manage Danske Bank’s financials. This efficiency helps us maximise the bank’s financial potential, benefiting our customers, colleagues, society, and investors by ensuring we remain financially strong.

We have a wide range of initiatives aimed at providing fast and accurate financial information to investors, regulators, and internal decision-makers while optimising how we manage our financial resources.

In your role, you will collaborate closely with BI Engineers, DevOps specialists, IT Systems, and Business Analysts in cross-functional teams. Together, you’ll deliver modern technology solutions across all financial areas. Our solutions handle large amounts of data stored in Danske Bank’s cloud.

You will be joining a highly skilled team of ten professionals, including experienced engineers and a dedicated Product Owner. In this role, you will work on the bank’s liquidity calculation and reporting, while also enhancing your expertise in Mainframe and Public Cloud technologies.

You will:

  • Work with IBM Rational Tools on the bank’s core Finance Accounting system, mainly based on Mainframe: DB2®, PL/I, CICS®, and Tivoli Workload Scheduler
  • Design and develop new code features for the existing solution
  • Maintain and improve existing Mainframe solutions
  • Work in an agile and collaborative manner within an internationally distributed squad (Denmark, India, and Lithuania)
  • Work closely with other developers to ensure development aligns with guidelines and best practices

About you:

  • IBM mainframe knowledge (z/OS), TWS (OPC) – jobs, dependencies, APPL, use of OPC variables
  • Experience with:
    • Reading PL/I code (could be substituted with COBOL)
    • JCL – programming, DB2 unload, Sort
    • DB2 and SQL
  • Good understanding of the development lifecycle process and a willingness to learn new programming languages, tools, and processes, e.g., AWS Cloud
  • High level of personal responsibility and commitment to team goals
  • Analytical mindset to understand problems and turn them into solutions using code as a tool
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3480 EUR to 5220 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
