Junior Java Developer in Payment Execution Team

Join our Core Payments Platform team at Danske Bank

Our team is responsible for the accurate and prompt processing of payments and communication with clearing and settlement mechanisms. We are in the active development phase of our next-generation payment systems and are seeking new team members for the Payment Execution Squad.

You will:

  • Implement, evolve, and maintain applications that process payments and communicate with multiple other systems
  • Participate in the entire software engineering cycle, including architecture, coding, code reviews, and maintenance
  • Collaborate closely with teammates of all levels of seniority and a large group of Java software engineers
  • Work on critical financial systems, ensuring robustness and ease of maintenance
  • Take ownership of the service and be responsible for part of the system

About you:

  • Strong foundation in Java (Core) and libraries/frameworks in the Java ecosystem
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills
  • Experience with messaging-based applications, Kubernetes, gRPC, Spring Boot, and MS SQL is a plus
  • Collaborative and team-oriented personality
  • Willingness to learn about complex systems related to payment processing at scale

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 2680 EUR to 4020 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
