Digital Core is a tribe organized into 16 cross-functional squads across Denmark, Poland, and India, all committed to delivering effective end-to-end solutions for both external customers of Danske Bank and internal consumers of our data. Our mission is to deliver highly available, enterprise-grade services that provide customer and account data and functionality to enable the bank’s digital customer interactions.

We aim to build a top-tier core banking platform that is simple, easy to use, and configurable for our users.

Digital Core is establishing a new squad in Vilnius, offering a unique opportunity to join early in the process and help shape the squad’s technical direction and culture.

You will:

  • Join a well-established engineering community and collaborate with skilled peers
  • Take ownership of parts of the codebase from other Digital Core squads, with full support from teams willing to help
  • Drive the transition toward event-driven, API-focused, cloud-hosted solutions, enabling data consumer self-service as the way forward
  • Write high-quality, maintainable back-end code that meets enterprise standards
  • Collaborate closely with architects, fellow software engineers, and our dedicated Product Owner to deliver impactful solutions

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in Java development (2+ years) and Spring Boot
  • Understanding of API design and development principles, particularly using the OpenAPI Specification
  • Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka
  • Knowledge of MS SQL and DB2 databases
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization
  • Ownership mindset and ability to take initiative, suggest technical solutions and openly share them with the team
  • Self-driven and proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems
  • Strong focus on outcomes, delivering high-quality solutions that create impact and Upper-Intermediate English skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3520 EUR to 5280 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
