FuturePros Programme: IT Software Engineering Track

Are you a student, graduate, or reskilled specialist seeking to employ your skills and ideas in impactful projects? Begin your professional growth journey with Danske Bank by applying to the FuturePros programme.

This paid one-year program focuses on your development, providing you with practical experience for a career (re)start. Regardless of where you are in your journey, we are prepared to guide you and put your skills into practice. Prior work experience is not necessary, and we offer a flexible schedule that allows you to continue your studies. In addition, this programme includes various trainings, networking opportunities, and community events.

This year, we have several tracks available, including Business Analytics and Support track, Data Science, Engineering & Analytics track, IT Software Engineering track, DevOps (IT Platform Engineers) track. Choose the one that aligns most with your career aspirations and apply.

In IT Software Engineering Track, we are looking for Full-Stack Engineers, Cloud and Mainframe Specialists to join our highly skilled teams.

The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).

For FuturePros students monthly salary is 1750 Eur gross.

What’s next? All candidates will receive a homework task based on the profile they are applying for. Additionally, they will be invited to complete a profile preference questionnaire. Selected candidates will attend the assessment events in October, followed by final interviews with the hiring managers. The expected starting date is mid to late November 2025.

You will:

  • Join one of the FuturePros IT Teams at Danske Bank Lithuania as an IT Software Engineer (Mainframe Specialist), IT Software Engineer (Cloud Specialist), or IT Software Engineer (Full-stack Specialist)
  • If you join as an IT Software Engineer (Mainframe Specialist) role, you will work with relational databases, develop and troubleshoot software programs, and address technical challenges using structured problem-solving methods
  • If you become an IT Software Engineer (Cloud Specialist) role, you will work with TypeScript, Python, .NET, or Java to build cloud-based solutions. You will also use tools like Terraform, Git, and AWS and apply your knowledge of data structures, algorithms, SQL, and frameworks such as Spring
  • If you are interested in the role of IT Software Engineer (Full-stack Specialist) role, you will use technologies such as Python, React, JavaScript, and Golang to create end-to-end solutions. You will also work with .NET, SQL, and cloud platforms, leveraging modern software engineering concepts like object-oriented programming and functional programming
  • Contribute to diverse technological projects, applying your programming and problem-solving skills to deliver impactful results
  • Collaborate with highly skilled teams, working in an innovative environment that promotes continuous professional growth

About you:

  • You are a curious graduate, a reskilled specialist, or a student in IT, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Have the foundational knowledge for your chosen role, obtained through higher education, coding school, or individual studies
  • Possess relevant technical skills, such as programming, scripting, or working with cloud technologies, and are willing to apply them in practical projects
  • You might already have experience in tools such as SQL, AWS, CI/CD, .NET, Java, Python, React, or you are willing to learn and develop your abilities in these areas
  • Coding, creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are your strengths
  • Have an interest in software development and are keen to learn and expand your expertise in cloud, mainframe, or full-stack engineering
  • Enjoy working in a team and are open to exploring new concepts and technologies
  • Have a B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level of English for effective communication in international teams
