Executive Assistant to the Chief Security Officer

We are seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) to support the Chief Security Officer in the Security, Resilience, and Controls department. This role could be ideal for someone with a few years of consulting experience in a cyber-related domain who is looking to transition into industry, or for someone with a strong background in project management, PMO, or business analytics. We see this as a potential career-accelerator, giving you the opportunity to learn about the bank and discover your unique contribution within the team. Alternatively, if you are an experienced EA with prior experience in a security-related domain, you might also be a valuable asset.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Business Management & Implementation and work closely with the CSO and other senior leaders across the Technology & Services division. This is a content- and planning-driven role. You will need to navigate a diverse organisation of approximately 500 professionals supporting the CSO, working across various domains. This requires the ability to understand the materials they provide, engage constructively in meetings, ask insightful and challenging questions, and ensure a coherent and consistent message is delivered. You will also be responsible for setting timelines, scheduling check-ins, and managing deliverables from inception to completion.

To succeed, you will collaborate with the Personal Assistant (PA) who handles many logistical aspects for the Chief Security Officer, such as calendar management. While the PA and EA roles are distinct, with unique responsibilities, teamwork between the two will be essential.

You will:

As an Executive Assistant (EA), you will work closely with and in some instances on behalf of the Chief Security Officer (CSO), who is responsible for security across the bank as well as the overall management of non-financial risks within Technology & Services. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Develop or coordinate the development of presentations and other materials for senior audiences. Initially, you will work under the guidance of the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), with the role progressing to include increased autonomy and responsibility over time
  • Learn the organisation and ensure that tasks directed to the CSO are appropriately delegated, including planning, organising, setting timelines, and following up until the final product is delivered
  • Review and refine materials to ensure they are logically structured, concise, and of high quality before presenting them to the CSO
  • Attend meetings with the CSO and take minutes on often technical topics
  • Act as a sounding board for the CSO, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Lead and facilitate Security, Resilience and Controls team leadership meetings

About you:

We seek a candidate who is proactive, consistent, highly structured and possesses strong organizational skills, as planning plays a significant role in this position. You will be working closely with a highly detail-oriented, content-driven individual, and your primary goal will be to manage as much of their workload as possible. The more you can take on, the more responsibility you will be entrusted with. Key qualifications and skills:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a relevant field such as cyber security, technology risk management, project management, business analytics, or similar
  • Collaborative relationship builder. The role involves working extensively with leaders across Security, Resilience & Controls as well as the broader organisation. Success in this position requires the ability to foster strong relationships and leverage them to deliver optimal results for the Chief Strategy Officer
  • Integrity in terms of careful handling of sensitive information and situations with discretion and professionalism
  • Absolutely solid organisational and time management skills, along with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain a strategic perspective
  • Advanced communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • A background in Big 4 consulting or a similar environment is highly relevant, as such roles cultivate a strong capability to notice details and provide broad exposure to multiple pertinent domains; however, other backgrounds with the necessary skills and experience are equally valued

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4160 EUR to 6240 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
