DevOps Engineer in Everyday Banking Individuals Tribe

We are actively seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to enhance our Core Cards platform within the Everyday Banking Individuals tribe. You will:

  • Build and maintain a secure PCI-DSS compliant cloud platform that enables squads to build applications that process card data across the Danske Bank Group
  • Focus on optimizing the developer experience to facilitate ease of deployment, maintenance and monitoring of the applications on this secure platform
  • Build pipelines to automate the Infrastructure Provisioning on AWS
  • Work on IaC tools such as terraform to create reusable artifacts for enabling standardization of Danske Bank’s Cloud infrastructure
  • Design and implement structured processes using DevSecOps methodologies to guide the development and deployment of software on AWS
  • Set up monitoring and observability tools (e.g. AWS CloudWatch) to help the application teams gain insights into the behaviour, performance, and health of their applications and come up with suggestions for improvements
  • Collaborate with experts from the card business and other DevOps engineers to uphold & adhere to PCIDSS & other security standards that the bank complies to, ensuring all processes and systems are resilient and compliant
  • Evaluate the platform on an ongoing basis for compliance breaches by utilising tools such as AWS Config, AWS Audit Manager and take remediation actions by applying the necessary controls in the form of IaC

About you:

  • A proactive individual with a robust “can do” attitude, eager to build and manage enterprise-class public cloud platforms that support quality, scalability, performance, and availability
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, and DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies
  • Solid background as a DevOps engineer, or a willingness to learn. Proficiency in Terraform, containerization, cloud-native applications, AWS cloud architecture, and ideally, Kubernetes in AWS (EKS)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Security Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. Technical proficiency in tools such as Kibana, GitHub, OpenShift, ADO (Azure DevOps), and Argo-CD
  • Experience with .NET C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs, Microservices, Monitoring, and Observability
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product owners, business analysts, and other development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, ideally complemented by AWS certifications
  • Advanced English skills
  • These skills would be considered as advantageous:
    • Previous experience in the financial industry or other regulated environments
    • Knowledge of card infrastructure and experience in the cards space
    • Experience designing and building event-driven architectures on AWS
    • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to digital banking, such as PCIDSS, PSD2, GDPR, etc.

Monthly salary range from 4480 EUR to 6720 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
