Data Scientist for Decision Modeling

Decision Modeling has a mission to disrupt traditional credit granting processes and put customers first by fast and transparent credit decisions. Our focal point is to ensure high customer satisfaction in everything we do. Some of the key aspects that will take us there are automated decisions in the customer journeys by creating standardised processes and minimizing resources spent.

You will be part of Decision Modeling, a team consisting of 50 employees working from our offices in Copenhagen and Vilnius. We are a team with a flat structure and an informal atmosphere. We operate in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders. For us to reach out targets, we must cultivate a supportive and professional team atmosphere which requires high integrity, good collaboration skills, and team spirit.

You will work in a self-organised Agile Squad and Data AoE, which combines experienced domain expert knowledge and data skills to secure accurate and fast credit decisions to our customers. Your role will be a mix of a Data Scientist and a Data Engineer where we eliminate the boundaries between the two areas in order to decrease handovers and increase end-to-end ownership of tasks. With your analytical mindset, attentiveness for detail and sense for good data quality, you will contribute to continuously improving our customer solutions.

You will be located in Vilnius, Lithuania.

You will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring best practices of how to use data and analytics directly in credit decisions and contribute to the automation of the customer journeys
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across risk, credit, AML, IT, and business in order to capture the necessary business understanding and secure the correct implementation of business requirements in the credit decision models
  • Work with data analysis and profiling, data handling and manipulation
  • Support data collection for credit decision flows and AML models
  • Prepare, test, and implement the production set-up
  • Ensure the right data quality in model inputs and outputs
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end flow for automatic credit decisions
  • Support customer journeys with efficient IT solutions

About you:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in Data Science/Engineering
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Programming, Statistics, or other relevant fields
  • A strong interest and experience in data analysis and transformation
  • Experience working with data (SQL and Python)
  • Pro-activeness, creative problem-solving skills with the ability to self-organize and challenge ideas
  • Great collaboration skills and interest in learning and developing your skills
  • The ability to communicate technical results in a non-technical and concise manner
  • Upper-intermediate English, both spoken and written with solid communication skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 2680 EUR to 4020 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
