The Cloud Data Platform is part of the Data Platform Tribe, which supports data professionals across Danske Bank.

The Cloud Data Platform squad is responsible for designing and maintaining a new Databricks-based enterprise data platform on AWS. This team leads the platform’s development, building scalable infrastructure with Terraform and delivering best-practice templates and frameworks. These capabilities include data ingestion, processing, curation, orchestration, protection, and management. The squad is focused on moving beyond legacy tools and environments, enabling work on a modern tech stack across platform capabilities.

You will:

  • Create, deploy, update, and support cloud-based data platform infrastructure
  • Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipeline templates for data engineering and machine learning using Databricks Asset Bundles
  • Administer the data platform while ensuring compliance with strict security policies
  • Collaborate on creating monitoring and observability solutions and standards for the platform
  • Enable scalable event-based data ingestion
  • Contribute to the technical implementation of a data products framework
  • Support the automation and optimisation of data engineering workflows

About you:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure role with a focus on data-oriented architectures
  • Proficiency in CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform
  • Knowledge of AWS or other public cloud data platforms
  • Backend development experience in Python or Java
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks, as the role involves minimal repetitive work
  • Self-motivated with the ability to inspire yourself and others, advanced proficiency in English
  • Experience with implementing Databricks in an enterprise environment would be highly helpful
  • Background as a Data Engineer or Data Scientist is considered beneficial
  • Familiarity with Pub/Sub and Kafka streaming services is beneficial

Monthly salary range from 3280 EUR to 4920 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
