Data Engineer in Risk Reporting and Controlling

Our primary focus is on building, maintaining and optimising data pipelines to ensure that Danske Bank meets its regulatory obligations. This involves leveraging technologies such as SQL and Python with plans to soon integrate advanced platforms like AWS and Databricks.

You will join the Risk Reporting and Controlling squad, part of the Welcoming & Orchestration tribe. You will:

  • Design and implement robust data integration solutions and pipelines to ensure efficient data flow between multiple sources and systems
  • Implement data validation checks, governance standards, monitoring systems and automated testing frameworks to ensure data quality
  • Collaborate with business function analysts, data engineers and architects to align solutions with project and organisational objectives
  • Optimise system performance through testing, troubleshooting, and integrating advanced technologies under guidance from senior team members
  • Ensure compliance of AWS databases (including S3) with security, privacy and accuracy standards for data storage and workflows
  • Support the adoption of emerging technologies, including generative AI, with a focus on learning and contributing to innovative initiatives

About you:

  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade data solutions in complex, regulated environments (financial services would be beneficial)
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for building scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and API integrations
  • Experience with GitHub and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for software development and release management
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services
  • A collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating functional solutions
  • Upper-Intermediate skills in English

Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
