Data engineer in Monitoring and Screening Tribe

We seek a data engineer with a robust agile mindset, eager to develop analytical models for detecting financial crime, with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) within one of Denmark’s largest companies.

Our agile team consists of highly skilled IT professionals who work collaboratively in an informal setting, spanning Lithuania, Denmark, and India.

We are in the process of implementing detection models for complex market products and transitioning to AWS. We are searching for a proficient data engineer with experience in Scala, Spark, or Java, who is keen on learning model development using Quantexa, a contextual analytical tool.

You will:

  • Develop scalable solutions: Design and develop AML detection scorecards using Scala, Spark, and AWS
  • Ensure data quality: Implement strategies to maintain data quality, lineage, and reconciliation
  • Collaborate effectively: Work closely with Quantexa engineers and architects to align solutions with strategic objectives
  • Co-creation: Develop highly effective and efficient models in close collaboration with business and analytics teams
  • Work with innovative analytics platform: Develop AI-ready solutions using Quantexa’s Decision Intelligence Platform
  • Work agilely: Use agile methods to improve flexibility and responsiveness

About you:

  • Proficiency in Scala and Spark for building scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows and API integrations
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services
  • Good understanding of Agile Development
  • Strong understanding of the development lifecycle process and a willingness to learn new programming languages, tools, and processes. High level of personal responsibility and commitment to team goals
  • (Optionally) you have experience with Quantexa, AWS
  • Upper-Intermediaten English skills

Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
