We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong agile mindset who is focused on developing analytical models to detect financial crime, with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) in one of Denmark’s largest companies.

We are an agile team of highly skilled IT professionals collaborating closely in an informal atmosphere across Lithuania, Denmark and India.

Our team is implementing detection models for complex market products and migrating to AWS. We are seeking a skilled data engineer with experience in Python, SQL or Spark.

You will:

  • Design and develop data lake solutions using Python and Spark technologies, ensuring data integrity, performance and scalability
  • Ensure data quality by implementing strategies to maintain data quality, lineage and reconciliation
  • Collaborate effectively with data engineers and architects to align solutions with strategic objectives
  • Apply agile methodologies to enhance flexibility and responsiveness
  • Understand, create and apply technical documentation to support solutions development
  • Improve development processes by identifying and implementing optimisations
  • Validate data transformations and quality through unit tests, data quality checks and ETL testing to ensure accurate extraction, transformation and loading

About you:

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL to build scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows and API integrations
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Practical experience with version control and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub, and exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Fabric or Azure and their data services
  • Effective interpersonal skills, strong teamwork abilities and upper-intermediate English proficiency in both written and verbal communication
  • Strong grasp of the development lifecycle with a willingness to learn new programming languages, tools and processes, showing high personal responsibility and commitment to team goals
  • Experience with Spark for building scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows and API integrations, Jupyter Notebook and Databricks would be beneficial

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
