Data Engineer for AML Detection Squad

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong agile mind-set interested in developing analytical models to detect financial crime, with a primary emphasis on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) in one of Denmark’s largest companies.

We are an agile team of highly skilled IT professionals working closely together in an informal atmosphere across Lithuania, Denmark, and India.

We are implementing detection models for complex market products and migrating to AWS. We are looking for a skilled data engineer with a background in Python, SQL or Spark.

You will:

  • Design and develop data lake solutions: Architect scalable, secure, and efficient data lake structures on AWS
  • Migrate legacy systems: Strategically plan and execute migrations of existing legacy systems to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption and preserving data integrity
  • Develop ETL processes: Create and maintain ETL processes using tools like AWS Glue, Talend, or AWS Data Pipeline to facilitate smooth data flow and transformation
  • Ensure data quality: Implement strategies to uphold data quality, lineage, and reconciliation
  • Collaborate effectively: Engage closely with data engineers and architects to align solutions with strategic objectives
  • Manage databases: Handle AWS databases such as Aurora, RDS, and S3, ensuring robust security and access controls
  • Work agilely: Apply agile methodologies to enhance flexibility and responsiveness

About you:

  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL: Build scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and API integrations
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Familiar with AWS, GCP, or Azure and their data services
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Experience with version control systems: Use tools like Git and manage CI/CD processes
  • Good understanding of agile development
  • Strong grasp of the development lifecycle: Demonstrate a willingness to learn new programming languages, tools, and processes. Show high personal responsibility and commitment to team goals
  • Upper-intermediate English: Proficient in both written and verbal communication
  • (Optionally) experience with Quantexa and AWS

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
