Are you passionate about driving resilience across a complex international organisation and influencing how businesses prepare for disruption at scale?

We are seeking a highly experienced colleague to join our Business Continuity Team in Denmark. As a Principal Business Continuity & Resilience Specialist, you will be responsible for shaping, implementing, and continuously enhancing Danske Bank Group’s Business Continuity and Operational Resilience programme — with a particular focus on third-party continuity and exit planning.

You will be based in Danske Bank’s Copenhagen office and join a global team of eight dedicated Business Continuity professionals located in Denmark and Lithuania. We offer extensive technical insights into the bank’s Business Continuity and Resilience programmes, opportunities to lead innovative initiatives, and the platform to make a lasting impact on organisational resilience.

You will:

Define and drive the direction of Danske Bank’s Business Continuity and Resilience projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of comprehensive continuity and exit strategies for third-party providers, ensuring resilience across critical outsourcing arrangements
Identify, design, and implement enhancements to continuity and resilience processes, introducing innovative approaches and embedding best practices across the Group
Engage and advise Senior Leadership, serving as a trusted resilience partner on critical continuity, and recovery matters
Organize complex business continuity exercises and crisis simulations, ensuring enterprise-wide preparedness and continual improvement
Address and resolve day-to-day business continuity issues, maintaining smooth operational continuity
Develop senior-level insights, reporting, and recommendations on the state of business continuity and operational resilience for Boards, regulators, and Group stakeholders
Guide and mentor other team members, sharing expertise and raising capability levels within the Business Continuity function

About you:

8+ years of proven experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, or related fields, with significant experience in leadership or senior advisory roles
Extensive hands-on expertise in developing and implementing continuity and exit planning arrangements for third-party service providers
Strong track record in designing and embedding process improvements to strengthen business continuity
Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with experience engaging at Senior Leadership level
Ability to drive initiatives independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., MBCI, CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor) are considered a strong asset
Advanced skills in English

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 5040 EUR to 7560 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
