Cloud Security Engineer in Cyber Build Team

In this role, you will serve as a vital point of contact, providing essential support to service owners in ensuring the robustness of our cloud security posture. Your responsibilities will include the management of CNAPP tooling (i.e. CSPM, CWP, CIEM, DSPM), development and maintenance of custom scripts designed to bolster our CSPM security policies.

By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key part in creating innovative security capabilities and seamlessly integrating security controls across various platforms.

Additionally, you will be tasked with the creation and upkeep of comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring that all processes and protocols are clearly articulated and easily accessible. A significant aspect of your work will involve identifying opportunities for automation and implementing improvements that alleviate the burden of manual tasks, reduce the frequency of repeatable actions, and prevent the recurrence of issues. Through your proactive approach, you will contribute to a more efficient and secure operational environment, ultimately enhancing our overall security framework.

You will:

  • Manage CNAPP tools by creating, updating and maintaining policies
  • Analyse misconfiguration reports, identify root causes and implement policy or configuration adjustments
  • Collaborate with cyber architects to ensure policies align with security controls
  • Work closely with public cloud engineers and service owners to optimise policies based on service capabilities and limitations
  • Guide teams on resolving misconfigurations, manage policy exceptions and escalate overdue fixes as needed
  • Apply vendor updates for CSPM tools, test and implement new features
  • Track and report compliance status to ensure adherence to security standards
  • Continuously enhance security policies to address emerging threats and leverage technical advancements

About you:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering public cloud providers such as AWS or Azure
  • Strong understanding of public cloud services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC)
  • Solid experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
  • Collaborative approach in cross-cultural environments and excellent English communication skills
  • Experience with ITSM tools, including ServiceNow or JIRA
  • Certified Cloud Security Engineer (CCSE) certification (desired)
  • AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03) or Security – Specialty (SCS-C02) (desired)
  • Advanced English language skills

Monthly salary range from 3520 EUR to 5280 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
