You will collaborate closely with IT engineers and product owners across the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering (IRE) organisation to mature agile practices within our squads, empower our colleagues, and help IRE become a leader in providing standardised automation solutions..

You will:

Co-own, maintain and evolve infrastructure automation platforms and solutions together with esteemed colleagues. Be an integral part of the whole team
Focus on enabling the self-service capabilities for your colleagues within the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering department as well to the rest of the organization
Define department-wide software engineering technical approaches, architectures, standards, and practices as part of guilds
Work by OOP principles and promote code re-usability, readability, and standardization
Make your code clean and document it, so that the others (or yourself in a few months) do not need to reverse-engineer it
Adopt and spread the automation-first approach and philosophy
Stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
Become the go-to person for any backend software development and engineering related matters
Act as a role model for Senior Software Engineer and below levels

About you:

7+ years of experience with Python for backend implementations and up-to-date relevant experience with FastAPI
In-depth experience with AWS and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of REST API standards and best practices, with experience in building REST API services in an API-first fashion
Experience with Agile ways of working, including Git flow, code review culture, working with multiple development environments, CI/CD, and automated testing
Familiarity with coding practices such as SOLID and Clean Code, and knowledge of modern software architectural patterns like microservices and event-driven architecture
Solid communication skills, upper-intermediate English language proficiency, and a strong sense of ownership with the ability to question existing norms
Self-driven and continually seeking personal development, with a willingness to share knowledge within the team
Demonstrable skills in automating infrastructure and improving programmability at an enterprise level
Knowledge of Go, with expertise in generative AI being beneficial

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 5440 EUR to 8160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
