Chief Enterprise Architect for CoE Tech Strategy and Enterprise Architecture

The Center of Excellence Tech Strategy & Enterprise Architecture (CoE TS & EA) at Danske is integral to the CTO organization. The team, composed of Enterprise Architects and Strategy Consultants, reports directly to the Head of TS & EA. The CoE TS & EA has an integral part in defining and maintaining the overarching technology strategy and architecture of Danske, ensuring that all Target Architectures, standards, and Technology Choices are implemented across various tribes and domains. Additionally, the CoE EA oversees the Enterprise Architecture Design Authority, collaborating with domain representatives to approve architectural content for Danske and aligning Technology Strategy with Danske’s overall and domain-specific strategies.

Our diverse team, located across Denmark and Lithuania with a majority based in Denmark, consists of experienced Enterprise Architects, Technology Strategists, Software Architects and Engineers who serve as the central hub for architecture and strategy within Danske. We focus on collaboration, personal development, and shaping the future of a leading financial institution in the Nordics.

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to enhance our team, focusing on the Personal Customer (Retail Banking) domain. The ideal candidate will be a visionary communicator and collaborator who not only understands frameworks and principles but also excels in building stakeholder relationships, driving results, and thinking with an enterprise-wide perspective.

We recently added 3 new people to the team, which consistent mainly of very experienced senior architects. The new joiners were extremely happy about how welcoming the team was, and how easy it was for them to ask questions, make mistakes, and get help from the more senior team members. You will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including leadership and experts, to define IT visions and strategic directions aligned with business strategies
  • Develop and execute IT governance models while ensuring projects align with strategic directions
  • Partner with Tribe and Domain Architects to design target architectures, roadmaps, and policies that sustain IT solutions and incorporate an Enterprise perspective
  • Establish a comprehensive view of processes, information, and technology assets, ensuring the architecture supports efficient, secure IT environments meeting business and regulatory needs
  • Facilitate strategic programs to promote understanding and implementation of the Target Architecture
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leaders on Architecture and Technology Strategy

About you:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Enterprise, Tribe, or Domain Architect roles, preferably in Financial Services
  • Deep knowledge of the Personal Customer (Retail Banking) domain
  • Proven success in delivering impactful Target Architectures
  • Great leadership and communication skills, capable of leading and motivating cross-organizational teams
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, decision-making based on a blend of quantitative and qualitative factors
  • Effective stakeholder engagement, acting as a liaison to align and support target architectures across domains
  • Ability to recognize the priorities of senior management and act upon them, focus on commitments and impactful tasks, and escalate issues as needed
  • Skilled in identifying and evaluating emerging technology trends for potential adoption to position the bank at the forefront of financial services innovation
  • Strategic thinker with a robust consulting and problem-solving skill set, able to simplify complex issues
  • Highly adaptable, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and consensus-building skills, communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have Advanced English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 6560 EUR to 9840 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
