Business Risk and Controls Officer with GDPR experience

We are looking for someone responsible for investigating and handling data breach cases. This role involves a variety of tasks related to data breach management, with a primary focus on assessing data breaches and reporting them to relevant authorities. You will collaborate with colleagues at various seniority levels across our organisation and build an effective network across countries.

You will:

  • Manage data breach incidents by conducting investigations, performing risk assessments, documenting findings, and recommending mitigation and remediation actions
  • Report data breach incidents to authorities and internal and external stakeholders, and notify affected data subjects
  • Make independent decisions and handle deviations from standard processes and practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process optimisation and improvement in data breach management
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide support for related process optimisations, team development, and projects/programmes
  • Collaborate with both international and local teams within the bank
  • Become proficient in the systems that support these processes

About you:

  • Solid understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations in general
  • At least one year of experience in data breach management or the data protection field
  • Higher education or a background in law or similar fields would be beneficial
  • Solid analytical skills with keen attention to detail and effective organisational capabilities to manage complex tasks efficiently
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills for collaboration
  • Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary
  • Proficiency in a Nordic language would be considered as a benefit
  • Experience working in international or global shared service centres, or in the banking sector, would be beneficial

Monthly salary range from 2640 EUR to 3960 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
