Associate ESG Risk Analyst in Sustainable Finance

Are you enthusiastic about connecting sustainability with the business world and understanding how ESG topics can impact a company’s risk profile? Then we invite you to explore an exciting opportunity to join our ESG Risk team at LC&I.

You will join an international team of five motivated colleagues with diverse professional backgrounds. We are dedicated to developing ourselves and deepening our understanding of ESG-related credit risk, benefiting both the bank and our clients. Collaboration and knowledge sharing with colleagues and leaders are essential parts of our daily work.

You will embark on a journey into the world of ESG and transition risk analysis at Danske Bank. You will contribute to our efforts to understand and manage risks arising from environmental, social, and governance aspects of our clients’ businesses.

Together, we also examine how the transition to more sustainable energy systems affects our corporate clients, especially those closely linked to this transition.

Other team members are based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and currently we are establishing a small team at our premises in Vilnius, Lithuania.

You will be located in Vilnius, Lithuania.

*Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where you will have a chance to work up to 2 days per week at home).

You will:

  • Analyse clients’ external communications
  • Use external databases and leverage your industry knowledge
  • Utilise specialised tools developed for ESG analysis
  • Prepare materials and participate in meaningful dialogues on ESG topics
  • Contribute to analyses of companies’ transitions to more sustainable energy solutions within selected industries
  • Stay updated on regulations and the latest trends in sustainability and ESG risk, and sharing this knowledge internally
  • Collaborate with the ESG Risk team to develop effective methods for ESG risk analysis, including integrating energy transition, biodiversity, and human rights into our comprehensive risk assessment processes

About you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Social sciences
  • Initiative, analytical and have strong professional and communication skills
  • Engaged and motivated to share your knowledge and interest in the field with colleagues and clients
  • Open to challenging your perception of how financial institutions can contribute to the transformation of energy systems and similar areas
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills, both spoken and written

Monthly salary range from 2200 EUR to 3300 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
