Associate Controller in Asset Management Finance and Fee

Today we are doing a great job in running, calculating and booking fees on the largest & wealthiest customers in the Nordics and on the Danske Invest funds, in which we create a great customer experience and ensure the income of Asset Management. We are in the team combining colleagues with Business and accounting skills to enable even closer collaboration and co-creation. You will be part of the global team of 17 people from Finland, Denmark, Norway and Lithuania.

It is crucial we have fun, and that there is a close and informal relationship among colleagues in the various countries. The cross-border collaboration is today very well established and is a crucial part of us succeeding as a team.

Curious how your typical day would look like?

  • 60-80% daily fee calculation – and control processes plus ad hoc
  • calculations, create and invoice clients–on funds and discretionary clients
  • 20-40% optimization (investigating and executing on new initiatives of automation possibilities)
  • 0-20% other projects, stakeholder management, reading/updating SOPs, process descriptions, etc.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority of the role.

This role does not include a relocation allowance for candidates who are not based in Lithuania.

The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).

You will:

  • Be responsible for fee calculations on the wide range of funds, 3rd Party Distributors, and External Managers
  • Calculate, control and invoice fees in a precise and timely manner
  • Work as a key part of the Operations value chain within Asset Management Operations, with a direct impact on customer experience
  • Develop and improve daily processes and procedures
  • Be part of developing and testing our future fee applications
  • Create analyses, tools, programs, and calculations
  • Take part in both our daily deliveries to Asset Management, Danske Invest and in various projects supporting the growth of our business
  • Use tools as SQL and VBA

About you:

  • 2+ years of financial experience: can be with experience from the banking industry or a fund company
  • Have an audit mind-set, and a strong interest in working with financial data and the details within, in a structured and analytical way
  • SQL knowledge would be considered as a beneficial asset
  • Accounting and fund knowledge is an advantage
  • Team player, self-driven, result oriented, accurate, and confident in making decisions and thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced English skills, both written and spoken

Monthly salary range from 1960 EUR to 2940 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
