Software Engineer (Java) in Core Payments Platform Tribe

Here at Core Payments Platform Tribe, we support the everyday banking needs of our customers by delivering a best-in-class payment system that orchestrates payments seamlessly in our target markets. We bring efficiency through standardization while making it our utmost priority to ensure the platform is highly performant, always compliant, secure and available.

We are looking for additional team members in our agile squads where we are creating a new Cloud payment engine, employing modern technical standards to drive efficiency, transparency and consistency in processing payment instructions for people and corporate customers.

You will:

  • Have an Opportunity to gain experience working with Apache Kafka, the Elastic Stack, and Kubernetes in an enterprise environment
  • Work in a large and active community of cloud software engineers: the squad has five today (looking to add 3) with more than 40 in the tribe today.
  • Have a great support structure. A team of agile coaches, functional business specialists, product owners, architects and more to support your work
  • Work on the underlying structure of the financial system in northern Europe. Some of the most critical systems of the bank will be developed by you. This also means that everything you do needs to be robust and easy to maintain for decades

About you:

  • Willingness to learn about complex systems related to payment processing at scale
  • Excitement about leveraging unfamiliar technologies
  • Collaborative and team-oriented personality
  • Experience with Java (Core)
  • Experience with a version control system such as Git
  • Nice to have: Previous experience with microservice architecture, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch and the related ecosystem, gRPC, experience with Spring Boot and MS SQL
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD workflows/tools/their configuration (e.g. Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions …), Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Advanced English skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3280 EUR to 4920 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
