Software Architect in AML IT Systems (Core Payments)

You will work as a Software Architect in an AML IT Systems team.

We are looking for a hands-on Software Architect to lead and help bring technology expertise and insights into development of Solution Architecture based on external and internal compliance requirements, user stories.

You will:

  • Design solutions to meet business needs and requirements as well as strategic architecture direction and roadmaps
  • Ensure that system architecture is continuously updated to match published architecture best practices
  • Have an expressed willingness to follow through solution design from inception until realisation
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise across multiple technologies and disciplines
  • Facilitate adoption and utilisation of industry best practices
  • Ensure that solutions are sufficiently documented to facilitate maintenance and new development
  • Ensure that the necessary application infrastructure and middleware is in place to support solution integration
  • Perform architecture reviews and design inspections
  • Promote in-house and industry advances in software development practices
  • Exercise architecture decision authority in alignment with strategic direction

About you:

  • University degree, e.g. in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience in designing top of the line solutions
  • Good understanding of current best practices
  • Capable of guiding others in technology decisions
  • Front-end specialist experience building, devising and maintaining user interfaces for software (an advantage)
  • Experience in web development and know about integrating with back-end systems
  • REST services and API integration
  • HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design
  • Experienced in back-end JAVA development covering all phases from design and build to deploy and run
  • The latest JAVA frameworks
  • Source control systems such as Git and TFS
  • REST, RESTful and micro services, and API design
  • A “yes we can” attitude
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • An ability to self-organize
