Senior IT Security Engineer in Tools and Platform Support Team

Group Information Security (GIS), headed by the office of the CISO, is a part of an organization that delivers high-quality security and risk solutions to Danske Bank and its customers. GIS works with complex technical issues and contributes to develop Danske Bank’s global competitive edge on innovative risk mitigating solutions. Tools and Platform Support team is part of Cyber Operations tower within GIS with more than 70 colleagues located in Denmark, Lithuania and India.

You will:

  • Create and troubleshoot security policies for new and existing web applications
  • Help detect malicious internet traffic and indicators of compromise
  • Design and develop new security capabilities in close cooperation with infrastructure teams
  • Join architects from business line and from the infrastructure teams to ensure that common security standards are adopted into their specific architectures, roadmaps and implementations
  • Implement security features on Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Secure web gateways / proxies, IPS/IDS and Sandbox platforms
  • Maintain security policies and participate in daily operational lifecycle
  • Analyze current security capabilities and provide suggestions for improvements
  • Define disaster recovery plans and drive their execution to achieve operational stability
  • Create technical documentation
  • Perform on-call shifts according to a team’s monthly on-call schedule

About you:

  • Education in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocol, Firewalls, Proxy, and IPS/IDS
  • Experience with Web Proxy technology
  • Experience with Cisco, PaloAlto, Fortinet Next-Generation Firewalls or similar
  • Good understanding of Malware protection techniques
  • Knowledge of Web Application Firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of security in designing, deploying, and operating physical/virtual server infrastructure
