Senior IT Operations Engineer in Enterprise Command Centre

Enterprise Command Centre is responsible for the 24/7 monitoring of the whole Danske Bank IT estate including critical bank systems, applications and IT services and strives to reduce both the duration and impact of outages of the systems.

This is a challenging opportunity to join Enterprise Command Centre operation teams.

As an IT Operations Engineer you would have a direct responsibility for keeping all customer-facing services and other critical systems running smoothly. IT Operations Engineers are a blend of pragmatic operators and software crafts people that apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our environments.

You may be a fit to this role if you:

• Think about systems – edge cases, failure modes, behaviors, specific implementations
• Know your way around Linux and the Unix Shell
• Have a strong working knowledge of virtualization and solid understanding of Cloud infrastructure
• Know what is the use of config management systems like Chef (the one we use)
• Have strong programming skills and knowledge of network topologies and configuration techniques
• Are able to communicate effectively with external providers and internal partners, including senior stakeholders
• Have an urge to document all the things so you don’t need to learn the same thing twice
• Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude. When you see something broken, you can’t help but fix it
• Have an urge for delivering quickly and iterating fast
