DevOps Engineer in Core Payments

We’re a small team in a larger organization, driving the adoption of container technologies and specifically Kubernetes. We manage and operate Kubernetes, and work to add additional functionality on top of it.

As Site Reliability Engineer in Core Payments you will have an opportunity to develop, run and optimise a highly available cloud based platform at the core of major Nordic financial institution. As a member of engineering team you will take part in planning and executing software and infrastructure upgrades, analysing and improving performance and reliability of the platform, optimising its operations, building new tools, implementing and automating monitoring capabilities to provide maximum uptime, performance and reliability.

You will:

As a Platform Engineer you will:

  • Architect, build, and operate modern software infrastructure such as Kubernetes clusters
  • Become an expert in optimising and running industry top products
  • Introduce new technologies on top of Kubernetes and evolve our ELK, Prometheus, Grafana monitoring solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues on test and production environments
  • Automate our processes, operations and remediation actions (by writing maintainable code)
  • Work collaboratively as a part of engineering team to ensure high availability and stability of platform

About you:

  • Self-starter, excellent sense of ownership
  • Experience in deployment and optimisation of highly available systems
  • Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters, Kafka,  ElasticSearch or similar products
  • Networking and Linux knowledge
  • Fluent English
  • GitOps, CI/CD automation (advantage)
