We in the Financing Businesses tribe have a mission to deliver a seamless financing experience for all Danske Bank’s business customers. You will be directly involved in developing some of the most modern financing solutions in Danske Bank and the banking sector, some of which are already revolutionizing the business banking industry. You will also be working in an enterprise-wide agile setup following the Spotify model.

As an Architect, you will join a team of fellow architects with a joint mission to ensure that we, as a tribe, built our solutions the right way – modern, sustainable, and scalable. Daily you will be engaging with our product owners and our software engineers to offer sparing and set a direction for the solutions they build, while at the same time working with the architects, and the IT Lead, to create a coherent and future proof architectural road map for the entire tribe. You will be asked to work with both technical and non-technical, so this position requires good communication skills and an ability to educate and support.

You will report directly to the IT Director / IT Lead and be part of the tribe’s IT Leadership group, together with tribe Chapter Leads.

About you:

Here are the things that we value in an architect, and the more of these you can check off, the better match you will be for this position.

  • 5+ years as a software engineer
  • 3+ years as a solution, software, or customer journey architect
  • Solid technical profile and an ability to develop and motivate others
  • Ability to bring implementation of microservices, Domain-Driven Design, REST API principles
  • Expertise across multiple disciplines within software engineering, including programming, platforms, security, and infrastructure
  • Well versed in Microsoft technologies
  • Can-do attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and an ability to self-organize and work autonomously with the mandate to move fast
  • Ability to collaborate with many different types of people and cultures, challenge ideas, and self-develop
  • Great English skills, both verbal and written
  • Well-founded experience working with agile development methodologies and a genuinely agile mindset
