Data Warehouse Chapter Lead

We are looking for a new colleague to lead our data warehouse/engineering chapter (of 7 people) and contribute to developing an integrated and scalable platform. In our area, we are responsible for supporting our back- and front offices. In addition, we ensure the development and evolution of our business, working with practical and consistent information.

To join our team, you will bring significant experience from a role as a data warehouse specialist that can help increase our ability to continuously develop the platform for Asset Management. As part of this role, you will cooperate closely with the rest of the Asset Management Tribe and our main stakeholders in Danske Bank and Danske Invest.

You will:

As a chapter leader, you will have a split responsibility: You will be the HR manager for our data engineers, setting the future data platform standards while at the same time working in a squad as a data engineering/warehouse specialist.

To be more precise, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being accountable for your chapter members’ growth both on a professional as well as on a personal level
  • Define and develop guidelines incl. best practices to improve our data platform and the execution of chapter members’ responsibilities as well as conduct goal setting and performance reviews
  • Create solutions to fulfil business purposes
  • Design, develop and document the Data Vault in our EDW layer and respectively our fact and dimension methodology
  • Design, develop and document ad-hoc data marts for specific purposes
  • Develop business reporting, dashboards, data analytics and business self-service capabilities through OBIEE/OAS and application development (APEX)

About you:

  • Either you have been a leader for some years, with an engineering background, or you come from a senior or chief developer position, with the interest and motivation to try out leadership
  • You can lead through servant leadership as well as provide coaching to let others flourish
  • You can lead a technology transformation while keeping up with the latest data platform market trends.
  • At least 5 years experience in ETL/ELT development in Oracle database (OWB, ODI or similar ETL tools) and reporting tools (OBIEE, OAS and similar)
  • High proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in data warehouse modelling
  • Advanced English language skills

Monthly salary range from 4560 EUR to 6840 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
