Data Engineer in Finance Tribe

Finance Tribe operates within the CFO domain of Danske Bank and consists of 200+ highly engaged employees organised in 23 squads. Our mission is to enable sustainable management of Danske Bank’s financial position and resources by providing high-quality data via modern technology solutions across all financial domains.

We are four squads working closely together to transform our accounting system from a 30 year old mainframe application to build an in-house modern cloud-based solution to improve efficiency, accuracy, and usability. To help us on this journey we are looking for a Data Engineer to take ownership of everything data within one of the squads.

 You will join a self-driven agile squad, consisting of 11 people including Analysts, Developers, DevOps and Cloud Engineers. The squad’s focus is to deliver key accounting calculations such as eliminations, netting, and currency revaluation. The squad is looking for a Data Engineer with passion for data and continuous improvement, a person who can ask difficult questions and challenge the squad on its data management and data engineering strategies.

You will:

  • Design and develop software and database solutions that are trusted, testable, easily maintainable and resilient
  • Closely collaborate with business users and senior engineers in different teams inside the bank
  • Work with MS SQL server stack and its tools focusing on performance optimization
  • Contribute to general application maintenance and ITIL flows
  • Use ADO build pipelines
  • Work with AWS public cloud and its tools

About you:

  • 2+ years of comprehensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and its tools
  • 2+ years of experience of database (or software) development
  • Experience with data integration, transformation, advanced database performance tuning
  • Experience with more than one database system like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
  • Some knowledge of .NET stack or you are interested in learning it
  • Experience with Cloud technologies i.e. AWS, Azure would be considered as a valuable asset
  • Upper-Intermediate English skills, both written and spoken

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3480 EUR to 5220 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
