You will join a global team located in India and Lithuania that is characterized by a focus on innovative solutions, a customer-centric mindset and fun-loving.

On a daily basis, you will collaborate closely with IT Engineers and Product owners across the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering (IRE) organization to mature the agile practices of our squads, empower our colleagues and help IRE to be in the first line in providing standardized Automation solutions.

As a Chief Software Engineer, you will contribute to the end-2-end services for Infrastructure from engineering to operations. You will help us move towards the aspirational ‘Zero Touch’ Infrastructure all the way from provisioning through to operations both on private and public cloud.

Depending on your skills, knowledge and experience, you may be offered different seniority in the role.

You will:

Co-own, maintain and evolve infrastructure automation platforms and solutions
Focus on enabling the self-service capabilities for your colleagues within the IRE department and the rest of the organization
Define department-wide software engineering technical approaches, architectures, standards, and practices
Work by OOP principles and promote code re-usability, readability, and standardization
Embrace and spread the automation-first approach and philosophy
Stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
Become the go-to person for any backend software development and engineering-related matters
Act as a role model for team members

About you:

6+ years of experience working with Python programming language used for backend implementations and up-to-date relevant experience with Django
Demonstrable track record of infrastructure automation and programmability on an enterprise scale
Great understanding of REST API standards, best practices, and experience in building REST API services in an API-first fashion
Knowledge of Asynchronous task execution implementations using Celery and integrated with Django
Adopting the Agile ways of working (Git flow and code review culture, working with multiple development environments, CI/CD, automated testing)
Great collaboration and communication skills
Self-driven and taking ownership team-oriented person with the ability to take on complex tasks
Experience with Linux (RHEL8), container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift), CI/CD (Drone, ArgoCD), Redis, ELK, Prometheus and Grafana (would be considered a bonus)
Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4480 EUR to 6720 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
