Chapter Lead for Front-End development in Monitoring and Screening Tribe

We are looking for a technically skilled leader for front-end development to help prevent financial crime to the benefit of our customers, societies and Danske Bank.

We are in the process of (re) developing Danske Banks ability to find financial crime (AML, Sanctions and Fraud) across all our platforms and customers, via data analytics and investigation tools. You will be involved in building the latter with a focus on providing an investigator with a consistent and comprehensive picture of a customer’s behaviour based on all the data available to the bank.

You will gain insight into data driven financial crime prevention and work with highly dedicated experts in an empowered environment where you will be able to make critical technical and people decisions.

You will:

As a Chapter Lead, you will have a split responsibility; you will be responsible for all our front-end technology and the people developing it:

  • You will be the HR manager for other skilled software engineers, you being accountable for them growing both on a professional as well as on a personal level
  • You work closely together with the IT Tribe Lead and product owners to ensure we attract, develop and retain a team ·of highly skilled and motivated team members
  • You develop development practices and choose technology to build highly extendable and maintainable front end systems extending on our nascent CI/CD practices and extending on testability.
  • At the same time, you will be an active member of a squad with a dedicated area of responsibility and delivery focus – coding, solution design etc.

About you:

As Chapter Lead, you are an encouraging and listening leader with an excellent technology base:

  • You have a good technical profile and an ability to develop and motivate others while defining the HOW. You have a good understanding of IT architecture and hands-on experience with solution design.
  • You have a natural interest in seeing, improving, and fixing areas that could be improved, both internally and outside the Tribe.
  • Either you have been a leader for some years, with an engineering background, ready to do IT development once again. Or you come from a senior or chief developer position, with the interest and motivation to try out leadership.
  • You have experience in front-end application development covering all phases from design and build to deploy and run
  • You have great technical skills within the front-end development area, including web development, web libraries, and frameworks
  • You are proficient in key front-end development technologies (e.g., JavaScript ES6+, jQuery, VueJS, Webpack HTML5, SASS)
  • You have a good knowledge of creating solutions that follow industry-standard regarding usability, performance, reliability, and scalability
  • You are experienced in and understanding of DevOps principles and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines)
