Cost Management is responsible for the cost allocation models used to price internal services, provide insightful cost analysis across the bank, and has started the exciting journey of providing cost insights into both customers and products. The team works closely with various stakeholders across business units and other areas to improve the overall profitability of the bank. The position offers a steep learning curve within cost management, data handling, management communication, and reporting.

As a Business Analyst, you will engage in the further optimisation and development of the bank’s data-driven cost allocation framework and provide valuable cost analysis and insights to stakeholders to increase cost transparency and empower cost optimisation throughout the bank. So, in this position, you will get thorough insights and understanding of various areas and cost-related business processes through individual area responsibility and a high degree of stakeholder contact on all managerial levels.

A natural part of forming a strong, sustainable, and data-driven cost allocation framework to support the Bank’s cost transformation is to have high-quality data. Therefore, the position also involves working with large datasets, designing data flows, and increasing automation and data quality for reporting and decision-making.

You will:

  • Collaborate within the Cost Management team located in Denmark and Lithuania, as well as with stakeholders across Danske Bank
  • Take full area responsibility for cost allocation
  • Communicate with stakeholders to clarify, define, and present cost allocation objectives and deliverables on an ongoing basis
  • Design and implement sustainable cost allocation processes in collaboration with stakeholders to achieve cost transparency and cost optimisation
  • Contribute to the further optimisation of the cost allocation framework with the purpose of achieving more data-driven and activity-based cost allocations
  • Contribute to the development of cost analytics for stakeholder reporting and actionable insights
  • Coordinate and deliver project-related work across departments

About you:

  • Have at least 1-2 years of working experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar
  • An analytical mind-set and being self-driven
  • Clear and effective communication, planning, and proven stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to improve current practices, suggest new ways of working, and offer value-added ideas
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills
  • Experience in SQL or other database programming languages is beneficial but not a requirement
  • Academic or hands-on experience with Activity Based Costing (ABC) is beneficial but not a requirement

Monthly salary range from 2720 EUR to 4080 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
