Business Analyst in Capital Exposure Management (Maternity Cover)

In the Capital Exposure Management team, we calculate and report the bank’s Risk Exposure Amount (REA) and capital requirements. By working with our team, you will gain in-depth knowledge of how regulatory capital functions and enhance your analytical skills. Once you learn the essentials, you’ll possess a highly valuable skill set, as capital is one of the most critical drivers of a bank’s profitability.

You will join a skilled and diverse team of 12 employees who deliver high-quality strategic analyses of the link between Danske Bank’s capital structure development and financial performance. This enables Danske Bank to achieve its strategic goals and prepare for the future. The team includes 4 colleagues based in Lithuania and the rest in Denmark.

Please note that this is a fixed-term contract for maternity cover (expected duration: approximately 18 months).

You will:

  • Run a monthly analytical process and perform various kinds of ad hoc analyses
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to manage the monthly capital reporting process, gaining knowledge about capital regulations (CRR), IRB models, and risk-weighted assets
  • Adapt processes to comply with new regulations
  • Monitor our capital and risk exposures, providing insights to business units and senior management
  • Work on automating the process using tools such as SQL and Python
  • Offer smart solutions and strategic guidance

About you:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience with data analysis and database languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau), preferably in finance or risk departments
  • An analytical mindset, readiness to learn, and willingness to take on responsibilities
  • A higher education degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Great communication and collaboration skills with team members and stakeholders
  • A proactive approach, ownership, and self-confidence in decision-making
  • Upper-Intermediate English skills

Monthly salary range from 2720 EUR to 4080 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
